The first Bed 'n Bath stores opened more than 50 years ago in 1971. Back then, we only offered bed linens and bath accessories at great prices. By 1986, Bed n Bath had introduced our superstore format—expanding into a full line of home goods and domestic furnishings—and set up locations in Connecticut and out west in California. As our offerings continued to expand to meet the needs of our customers, we updated our name to Bed Bath & Beyond in 1987. In the mid-90s, we sent out our first coupon into the world, and just before the new millennium, we launched our website, ensuring a comprehensive shopping experience that matched our brick and mortar stores. Today, bedbathandbeyond.com, “Business-to-Business” operations, and our over 600+ retail locations in the U.S., Puerto Rico, and Mexico are the destinations of choice for home, baby, beauty, and wellness goods.
